Discernment and Boundaries

One of the biggest lessons we learn in the metaphysical world is discernment/setting boundaries. We are not supposed to teach everyone, help everyone, agree with everyone, or enable anyone. We are supposed to set healthy boundaries with all our friends, clients and students.

There are many in the world who try to heal all the sick, read for all those who want readings and never make them do an energy exchange (money is a form of energy exchange), and then wonder why their skills aren't sharp, they are sick, they feel drained...it is becasue we are not supposed to do for everyone. Part of what we do in life to help others, is to teach them to help themselves.

We have to set boundaries in everything we do. That includes spiritual work. We cannot help others if our battery is always low. We cannot be at the top of our game, or safe in intense situations if we are half worn out, not sharp, and alert.

We also have to constantly remember to listen to Universal messages. When the Universe is telling you to stay away from a person, even if they need help, stay away. Maybe it is not time for them to receive help yet, maybe more lessons need to be learned, or another person may be effected. It is not our place to second guess the Universe. We are here to partner with the Universe and be the human forms that help do things so others can learn, grow and thrive.

We have to remember to always use protection and to always be alert. Some people carry a lot of negative energy, illness and even attached spirits with them, and we need to protect ourselves from these things. When you go into helping someone completely open, you are open to negative and positive, and the negative can sneak in. NO ONE can become possessed or allow an attachment without in some way welcoming that in. Your soul is not in constant danger of evil, but you also don't want to swim in those waters without protection. You also need to know what you are doing. Seriously know. A matchbook application to be an ordained minister won't cut it.

Many people get excited over delving into the psychic, the supernatural, the metaphysical. It is fascinating and  eye opening, but it is not a game. You are going in to places where there are energies that are strong, serious, and concentrated, if you don't know what you are doing, you can get into serious trouble. You can be helping to heal someone who has serious issues and dark energy, and when you open yourself up to heal that person, it can come in.

Remember the old Zack from GA? He isn't so confrontational any more. They learned the hard way. When things follow you home, effect your health, sleep, peace, and ability to function, then it isn't so much fun anymore.

Make sure you are always with someone who knows what they are doing, and also remember that there are many fakes and self taught people from the Misinformation Superhighway (the internet) out there. Learn from people who know what they are doing, and learn well.

Meanwhile, for all energy workers, give yourselves a break. I have so many good people asking why they are always run down, ill, and debilitated lately. It is becasue they are doing too much.
Don't sap your strength, you may need it one day!

Learn, research and grow!

People who can't stop.....

A reader emailed me last night and asked "what is it with those idiots that just can't stop? They go on and on about things. They spread hate, fear, sarcasm, and stupid saying (sp) thinking they sound what????SMART? REALLY?"

Good question. You know the guy/gal. They send you email on the same subject day after day. They post nothing but Facebook placards on a subject, and when you question the validity of what they post, and where they got their information from , they go off the deep end, and keeping posting and posting and posting. You already know where they stand on animal rights, gun control, abortion, ad naseum, yet they just can't stop.

What is up with that?

What is up is a person who thinks that they are spiritual, smart and have it all together and they correcting this messed up world, and what they are , is far from those things. It is OK to take a stand, make a few comments, and have a lively discussion. However, when you are obsessed, when you get nasty, when you get angry, when you post things just to rile up people after the dust has settled. You have a problem.

Our world is a place where we are supposed to be in a peaceful state. We aren't always supposed to agree, but we are supposed to always be nice to each other. When you post things, email things, say things, just to get a rise out of people, then you are not being a good Universal citizen. You are being a brat, a bully, or even a flat out jerk.

The answer to the question posed by the reader is that there are several reasons, the most "popular" is that there are people out there that believe if they get the last word, shout over you, or make more statements than you, they win. They feel that makes them right, and that they have won the argument. They don't even have to speak facts, just keep on speaking, they think that makes them look right and smart. It does just the opposite. Usually , after a while, people stop paying attention, and they end up arguing with themselves.

The other reason is attention. Some people just need more attention than others. They don't even care if it is negative attention. When I was studying psychology at Montclair State a fellow student did an experiment on this subject. She found that even good people, when ignored, will eventually step over a line to getting negative attention. Some step WAY over the line, but most good people just give things a little nudge, yet it happens. So some are just attention seekers.

A third reason is that their life is in chaos. There are financial problems, personal problems, medical or emotional issues, or all of the above, and causing upset somewhere else makes them feel better about their situation and prove the old adage "misery loves company".

One other is that they are just plain insane.

They are people with no faith, they may think they have it, or pronounce that they attend church every Sunday, but they DON'T have one ounce of faith. People who have faith, let things go. They "let go and let God"...or whatever word resonates with you. They may get upset with things, but they try to change them, by doing things like working in a soup kitchen, but they don't go on and on and on in social media and personal contact.

Having real, healthy faith is what makes people calm and peaceful. They aren't angry with the system, the government, the world. They don't live in fear, they don't worry about laws being "un-religious", they let God, the Universe, worry about all that. They trust it will work out fine for them, and you know what, it does.

If you are one of those people that keeps posting things days after the incident, argument or world happening has ended; days after your friends have gone back to the lives.....you need to take a hard look at you, and not be known as one of the crazy people that is obsessed by needing to show how much you can try to prove your point.

Write a book, a blog, that people can CHOOSE to read, or not, and get yourself to a happier place, because the person who wrote to me is right, there are too many of you out there. You don't check your facts, you don't care how you look, you just SPOUT. Stop, and have faith, it will feel better, trust me.

The Universe has is all under control. It may not be YOUR preferred way of things being, but trust me , the Universe is MUCH smarter than you!

Big booms, stop the fear.

The big booms are back in the news. This is the third or fourth time that I remember it being a big deal in my lifetime. Yes, this is NOT new.

People speculate,  and some joke (it was because I just ate 5 burritos), but then there are the ones who go off the deep end. They go right to FEAR. We just got past Dec 21 without the world ending, so now the fearful people of the world need something else to occupy their time. They claim it is the end of the world, that God is mad at us, and that the earth is about to shatter apart into tiny pieces.

All of that will make good movies, but it isn't what is going on.

The booms are constantly occurring, however when there is just say one a month, we don't really notice it. We chalk it up to a sonic boom, a young boy trying out his new shotgun, an accident, a large container being moved, or anything else our rational minds can come up with. When there are many, they are more noticeable. When they make the news, we are paying attention and hear them even more!

The booms are part of our world and noises that happen constantly. Many of the noises we cannot hear with our limited human ears, but the Universe is full of noise. Pulsars are the main culprit, and their "noise" is constant and regular. I remember in college listening to "space noise", it is a cacophony ! It is a good thing we can't hear it, it would drive us crazy!

So what are the noises? Some of them are totally normal, like sonic booms created by jets, industrial noise, trains starting to move, coupling and uncoupling, construction, industry, guns, fireworks, and all the other normal booms that fill our day when we aren't paying attention.

The rest of the noises are many and varied, but the most common are earth plates shifting (which by the way they do all the time, in some places more than others, but they are always moving); electromagnetic noise from space; a noise that builds and gathers from communication sources (phones, radios, etc) it creates a level where waves cross and BOOM; electromagnetic discharge, much like lightning; natural radioactive discharge.

We are constantly bombarded with electromagnetic fields, we create them, and they occur naturally. Just like static builds up and releases in lightning during a storm, the man made discharge happens also, but there isn't a storm. we create it with all those electronics that we so lovingly use constantly.

The internet is full of crazy speculation about the noises, and many of them promote fear. Yesterday I wrote about the fact that we as a people need to stop putting so much fear, anger and hurt into our world. It does NO good, and making people fear is a form of bullying. Make sure that you spread correct information and NEVER spread fear. Check out everything before you pass it on.

The earth and our Universe if full of mysterious and wondrous things, but it is not a place of fear. When you live in fear and make decisions out of fear, you ALWAYS make the wrong decision!

Live a fear free life!

Fear....

You have all heard me talk about fear. When you make decisions out of fear, you will ALWAYS make the WRONG decision. Last night a friend sent me an email of gun "facts". I researched them , not one of them was accurate. They weren't accurate becasue the author wasn't striving to be truthful or accurate, they were striving to make a point, scare people, and get a reaction. The other part of it was that the logic was flawed, and one statement had nothing to do with the others.

A "fact" on this list, was that 195,000 are killed annually by medical malpractice. First of all this email was trying to show that other things kill more people than guns. When you look up all the numbers, you will find that actually the opposite is true from the faked statistics this email listed. It also is what you call flawed logic. Any 5th grader will tell you that saying something like "my turtle killed more people than my rock, so we need to outlaw turtles and leave the rocks alone", is flawed logic. It makes no sense, and isn't true. We learn how to compare in grade school, but apparently forget as adults. They are apples and oranges, just because turtles kill 5 people and rocks only 4, doesn't mean we shouldn't try to remedy both. The answer is NOT "leave the rocks alone". This isn't a numbers game.

The "fact" that most entertained me, was that the medical malpractice number wasn't just skewed a little, or fancied up, it was MORE THAN DOUBLE the real number. Now, I know people pretty up their numbers here and there, round up or down to make a point, but DOUBLE??
People write this crap becasue they know that people will swallow it whole. People do, the person who sent it to me did...and yes I sent it back with the REAL FACTS and links to the information.

I ask all of you to CHECK OUT THE REAL FACTS before passing on, reprinting, or in any way redistributing "information", especially on the WORST source of information , Facebook placards. Never pass along scaremail or anything that tries to misinform, or put fear into other people. That is disgraceful. It is BEING A BULLY (see things my way, even if I have to lie to you!).

There is no room in 2013 for people to mislead, lie, cause fear or bully others. RESEARCH and make sure that you get REAL information before passing it on.

The Universe doesn't need more fear and misinformation, don't be part of the problem , be part of the solution!

What will my year be like?

The most frustrating reading a person can ask for, is one where they have no idea what they are looking for. People tend to get readings just for the heck of it, for entertainment, to hear good things, to have something to look forward to. None of these is a reason to get a reading.

Psychic information is insider information designed to help you make decisions. That means you already have to have an idea of what you want to accomplish, or what you need to do. You then get an outline, or guidance for that goal.

When you access psychic information, you go to the Highest Power and get answers. Do you really think the Highest Power is here to tap dance and entertain you? When you ask for these general readings, these "I don't know why I am asking, or what to ask" scenarios, you will get exactly what you put into it. Meaningless nonsense. When you really have no questions, why are you asking? Most times people know, and most times it is associated with a relationship. They just are too embarrassed to ask or are playing "test the psychic". What they don't realize is they will hear what they NEED to hear, not what they WANT to hear.

I remember a friend of a friend telling me how unhappy she was becasue she did this "oh just tell me anything" scenario, to a reader and heard bad things. Well, you asked! I have also had people ask me to NOT tell them anything bad, I don't work like that, then it isn't a reading, it is me telling you untruths that you want to hear. A waste of time and energy, and your money.

Many times I ask the person's name they want to know about. They say "oh no one in particular". I then do the reading, and they are hoping a certain person's name will get mentioned (and in a good way). The person doesn't get mentioned most times, and then after all that they say, "Well what about Bob?". Why we just can't ask about "Bob" in the first place is beyond me. I know you have someone you want to ask about, so why do we do the dance? We do the dance because the querant is hoping against hope, they will hear good things about a person who is really not connected to them in the way they want them to be. It is so frustrating and a waste of time and money.

A lady recently asked what exciting thing would happen to her in the next 2-3 weeks. The answer was nothing. That was the honest answer. I know she was looking for an online assignation to become the love of her life, but it wasn't going to happen. Instead of setting herself up to think I wasn't picking up on anything, she should have just asked about that relationship. I did answer her that I didn't see anything exciting in the next 2-3 weeks, but that there was a new relationship coming early summer.

There is a fine line there where we don't want to embarrass our clients by saying something like "Well why don't you just ask about that man, he isn't going to be significant, any more questions about him?" That would be rude, but yet when you don't do that, silly people think "oh they didn't pick up on the love of my life".

When you don't have a question, don't get a reading. It takes an enormous amount of energy to do readings, sometimes they are easier and flowing, and sometimes they are like pulling teeth. We as readers, also take the risk of opening up to energies that are harmful to us. Everytime we do a reading we reach into the other side, we would love to do that to help people, we don't like doing it just for the heck of it.

Readings are not a game, nor for entertainment. They aren't there to give you happy things to look forward to. I have done so many of these "please entertain me" readings, I sometimes want to scream. There is so much powerful and valuable information out there, and people bypass it for "what will my next boyfriend look like"? I mean, really, who cares?

When you want to know what your year will be like, ask yourself, "What kind of day am I going to have"? That is your answer. When you make each day count, find something to be positive about in it, and strive to find new things to learn. When you look for ways to exhibit random acts of kindness and live a grateful life. When you do the right things for the right reasons, you will have a fabulous year!

Do you really  want to know about the accident or illness that you cannot avoid? People say that they want to know, but they really don't.When there is nothing that you can do to change things, or that a warning will prevent, the message is not sent. Sometimes it is Karma, and the Universe does not warn you that it is about to dump Karma on your head.

Never get a reading for fun, or because you are bored. Never get a reading because someone else drags you into it. Never get a reading because you are looking for someone else to make you feel better. Never get a reading because you  want to spy on another person or hear that something bad will happen to an enemy. Never get a reading to play "test the psychic".

Unless you are in a huge crisis, never get a reading more than 4 times a year. People can become addicted to readings and want to be told what to expect everyday. The main part of our life lessons is how we react to the unexpected, trying to skip that class will NOT end up going well for you.

Get a reading because you have questions and need some guidance from a higher power. This is the only reason. When you cannot find answers and you are struggling with an issue, get a reading. When you are trying to make a decision and want to weigh the pros and cons, or decide between two choices, get a reading. When you are bored, take a class, read a book, go to a movie.

You wouldn't walk up to God and say "Entertain me!", so don't do it through a psychic or medium!

Do the right things for the right reasons!

Learning from a Founding Father.

We all have heard the saying that those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. It is a very true statement. It means that we can learn from others' mistakes and use that knowledge to do better. When we ignore those events, we can suffer again from the failures or issues that arose. When we address those issues first ,we can find success.

United States history is a subject that is full of a rich amount of information. Being a young country that began after recorded history, there is much to have at one's fingertips, if one bothers to look.

I always have a pile of books I am reading, and one is always history. Right now there happens to be two of them, 1676 and The Autobiography of Ben Franklin. Both are fascinating to me, but Franklin's account is interesting because what we would think of the Founding Fathers and the colonial and revolutionary times, isn't reality.

There isn't this warlike attitude. There is no mention of guns, ambush or rights. It is daily life, as it were. It may be a disappointing read to some for that, but it is all the more interesting to me because of it.

There is so much talk today about what the Founding Fathers thought, or meant, or intended, and most of what I have heard lately is pure grade A  BullS*&. The Founding Fathers lived in a different world, they didn't have thoughts, plans and ideals based on how we think today, they didn't have the basis for it.   The only talk of guns in Franklin's autobiography was a lottery set up to buy a cannon for the fort in Philadelphia. They had to borrow some others from Col. Clinton to finish arming the fort.

That is about 2 pages of the book.

Franklin was about community, fellow man, knowledge and doing the right thing (Jefferson was very similar). He didn't attend church, he felt the preachers reiterated dogma and never talked about how to be a good person. He would listen to preachers here and there if they interested him, and give to the local church , just so they could have funds, but he didn't attend.

He even made up a list of virtues (13 of them), to work towards, and kept track of how he was doing each day. He constantly forgave debts, set people up in business (usually printing houses), and was always looking for things to pay people to do.

He never applied for a patent on the Franklin stove although it was a hit in the colonies and later in England, where another man claimed to have come up with the idea and made a small fortune. Franklin didn't care, he just cared that people were warm, and using less wood.

He started the first library, fire company and street cleanings in Philadelphia. He was constantly looking for ways to make people's lives better, and didn't care that he didn't make a fortune off of any of it. His book talks about these things, not about the war, or the signing of the Declaration of Independence. He doesn't talk of hating the British (he travels back and forth to England several times over his lifetime), or the military. There were more positive, productive, and helpful things to do and say.

He would offer people solutions to civic problems, and let them know if there was a cost and how much. When they wanted to pay, good, it was done, when not, it wasn't. Rarely did something not happen that Franklin proposed. Now people whine over a few pennies here and there to help others. We are NOT our founding fathers, that is for sure.

He didn't even get into political arguments. He would say "OK, let's vote", they would vote, then they would do what was voted on , all together, 100%, with no complaints, issues, whining or sabotaging. Our founding fathers were nothing like what people portray them as. They wanted what was best for all and cooperated to achieve that.

Franklin walked his talk, and did it very well. He helped others, and he frequently sacrificed his own comfort. Something that people don't even have an idea of how to do today.

If Franklin came to America today he would think that the American public has lost its' mind. The selfishness, hatefulness, and combative attitude would sicken him.

We talk about our Founding fathers, let's see what they were really like, and act like them. They were not in church every Sunday, nor were they stockpiling guns. They weren't standing on crates denouncing the Crown every chance they got. A war was going on and they were finding ways to keep mud out of the market streets, enlightening those who couldn't afford books, and keeping their homes warm. They were helping each other.

They watched out for each other. They helped make the lives of those around them better.

People are right, we DO need to be more like the Founding Fathers, but we need to be what they REALLY were, not our 21st century warped idea of what that was!

Do the right things for the right reasons.

Toss out the ME ME ME for '13

The last few days have been interesting. They have been full of changes, adaptions, and even illness, but all hopefully going to a better place. We are still here. I feel sorry for those duped into hoarding, taking special classes, paying hundreds for special attunements to make it to the next phase of existence. None of it was necessary, and none of it worked. I just have to hope that Karma pays a quick visit to those who make up classes, books, movies, classes all designed to do nothing but suck money out of people's pockets.

The key to coming out on the other side was simple, doing the right things for the right reasons and doing them consistently. That is something most of us were taught as small children.

The answer is not to do things like give to charity every day of the week, but act like a jerk the whole time you are doing it. It isn't about showing up in a pew every Sunday then being a horrible individual every other day of the week.

Simple answers aren't the solution. All answers to all issues are complex. Ones that work the long term are anyway. They all require a profound and PERMANENT change. They all require you to be a different person.

The issue now is, the chance to change is gone for quite a bit of time. It isn't free reign to be a bad person, Karma will be swifter than it used to be, so rights and wrongs will go they way the Universe wants them to. They have been since the Fall Equinox. Everything that has happened since then has happened for a major reason.

Yet the worse , and most common affront is people being selfish. Pure single minded selfishness. These are the people who will notice Karma visiting more often , more decisively and more swiftly in the coming years. They missed out on the rewards of moving to a higher level, and now the righting of wrongs will be even more noticeable, to help teach them lessons.

The" ME ME ME attitude" will slowly be quashed by the Universe. It isn't about you, it is about the Universal populace. It isn't about your rights (or what you think they are), but the rights of all. How do people miss out on that very basic concept? This isn't the United States of You. There are 316 MILLION other people in this country.

People think that prayer in school will make us better people. Your personality, ways of making decisions, attitudes and values are all created BEFORE the age of 5. So you are who you are BEFORE you enter school. Fear of God is not what keeps most people in line, it is fear of the here and now. Parents, police, peers, loss of some sort (job, money).

The person who has the MOST influence on who we will be is the same sex parent, or same sex person who raises you , like a grandparent.

The issues today are complex but all begin and root back to parenting. We are raising a bunch of selfish , terrible people. That is where we need to start with the next generation. Teaching them right from day one. Meanwhile. Forget the ME. Take the ME out of everything you process. Think on a Universal scale!

No more ME ME ME.
