Asking for signs

We talked in class the other day about verifying messages by asking for signs. The trick is to not simply say "SEND ME A SIGN!" like in the movies, but to ask for a particular sign and ask to see it three times. You have to make sure it is something unusual, but not impossible. Finding you sign, or the time of year for it, is sometimes difficult.

The other day I was out for a "run"..... first let me clarify that "run" means "jog" and "jog" these days is much shorter than in the past and requires a few walking points along the three mile trek....I facetiously asked for a sign that I should be doing this.I mean it is getting harder,so is the Universe telling me to knock it off while my knees still function?

I didn't really get to the serious asking, and still have not , because as I was running , I noticed a feather. Now it is not just any feather, not a dove feather, or a starling feather. It was a Barred owl feather. It was a reward for punishing myself I suppose. Raptor feathers are beautiful things. I wish I could have a collection of them! But to me this was a sign, at least a little encouraging pat on the back.

I don't run like I used to, because I DO understand that it really is very bad for your body, yes VERY bad. It helps the heart and lungs yes, but there are lots of aerobic exercises that do that. While running is doing the helping part, it is wrecking havoc on your joints (knees, ankles, toes, hips), doing harm to your back and spine, bouncing your organs around to their limit, harming your shins (especially if you do not have the proper shoes and get shin splints), damaging breast tissue, and more. It really is NOT good for you. It is like a good drug with a bunch of terrible side effects.  I just do it for short intervals when I feel like I need to lose a few pounds, or get myself a little healthier.

I remember the running coach at a fitness center where I did kick boxing in Las Vegas, telling us that unless we wanted to run marathons, 5 miles a day was MORE than enough. He recommended 1-3 miles. I usually ran 5.5 miles in those days, but those days are long gone. Knees and hips cost way too much money. I remember him telling a gal who always had sore shins and blisters that "...until you are ready to buy real shoes and learn how to actually step (how her foot hit the ground), I won't even help you walk to the salad bar at the Venetian".

The message here is set boundaries, check with the Universe and readjust them as needed. Remember that what may have been OK when you were one age, or in one place in life, may not be good at another age, place and status.

The person who said "no pain, no gain" was an idiot. Physical growth is not supposed to cause pain, achy muscles maybe, but not pain, but then there would be no catchy rhyme! When it hurts, you stop entirely until it doesn't hurt any more. You do the same in life. You give yourself a break, life isn't a race, it isn't where you look for painful growth, it isn't where you hurt yourself in 4 areas looking to improve one. That is just dumb....make sure you have healthy boundaries and stick to them, not only in the energetic world, but in the physical world as well.

Ask the Universe for a sign if you are doing things OK, and if the sign it sends is pain, that is a message to STOP. The Universe doesn't punish , it teaches, and it shouldn't have to teach you not to hurt yourself.

Look for signs and ask for verification. It works every time!

How does it feel to hunt ghosts?

We have had a few people ask to become active members in our local ghost hunting group. One asked a great question (probably because she is older, and most likely wiser, than most of the youngsters who want to be Zak Bagans). She asked, "How does it feel? Do you feel icky the next day after being in a haunted house?"

Well let's see, that isn't an easy answer,it depends on the house, and I don't take it home, so no, not at all, but then I know what I am doing. I can tell you that if I thought about it though, I would ALWAYS have a complaint the next day. I am in pretty good shape, and good health, but it isn't an easy thing to do. Some places are worse than others.Sometimes that is a result of energy, but MOST times it is simply environmental.

One of the guaranteed results, is that you are tired the next day and most likely your sleep cycle is messed up. Ghost hunting trips on weekends help with that, but if a family needs help in the middle of the night, during the week....then you will be tired the next day. When you have a regular job, that can be a problem.

But wait, there is more! I have had sore muscles from carrying equipment (long ways, up and down stairs), froze my butt off; sweated same butt off; suffered from bug bites; scrapes from tight places; bumps from dark objects in dark buildings; rashes from I don't want to know what. I have seen people get scratched, slapped, pinched and pushed. I have had my hair tugged and been poked and prodded. I have seen people feel ill after a spirit pulls so hard on their energy, that it drains them to a point of felling faint, dizzy and nauseous.

But wait there is even more! Walk all night on a cement floor, like Waverly Hills and the next day your knees, ankles, back and legs are cursing you out in a language of aches and pain. People wear the wrong shoes and have blisters, sore feet and legs.

But wait, there is more! Some people get so creeped out they physically feel badly, they feel ill. Some spend the night being so nervous that they are a tired wreck the next day. Being afraid takes a huge toll on people, it wears them out. I had to physically help someone out of a building once, not because any spirit did anything to her, but because she was terrified and wore herself out.

But wait there is more! You have to make sure you stay hydrated and have the protein and carbs to keep moving and stay sharp. Being hungry and lacking energy has zapped a few hunters, and not having enough hydration can literally kill you.

You may have to climb, crawl, or run towards a sound or sight. You may even have to run to the aid of another member, or to help validate that something is happening. The adrenalin can help with that until the danger or excitement is passed, then you feel like you haven't eaten in a week. You can't say, I can't run over and investigate that awesome phenomenon, I am too tired.....

So, what does it feel like? When you are not afraid, and you are dressed properly , and in decent shape it feels great.....if you are afraid, not dressed for the venue, and not fit, you will feel like crap during and after. Much of it is about being prepared. Some sites require you to carry fairly heavy equipment over a long stretch , or up stairs....it is what it is....and what is really is is NOT like the TV shows.

So what does it feel like ?????......it depends on you!

Happy hunting!

Step one- Lose the fear

I taught a Psychic Development class this weekend. Step one in this class isn't really teaching anything at all! It is preparing yourself. We all have psychic ability, but the first step to developing it, is losing the fear. Fear of bumping into something scary, demonic, or creepy. Fear of what family members may say, or religious institutions. Fear of being made fun of, or called crazy. I don't even bother to tell some folks what I do for a living, as I have had people scream in my face that they will "PRAY FOR YOU". It gets old. Who wants the prayers of an anrgy , scared , screaming person? Not me! I don't want to have a discussion with a fearful hater. It wastes my time and energy when I could be doing MANY other positive things.

This fear , once lost, opens the door to ability and to growth, it is step one. It is easier for some than others, but eventually it ALWAYS happens. It is where we are supposed to be. We are supposed to be open to the Godhead/ Ultimate Power/ Highest Being (who by the way does NOT have a dogma). We are supposed to be open to the Universe and all existing in it. We are supposed to be open to the world. When we do that, wonderful things happen, not just psychic messages ,but understanding and acceptance.

People have different talents that they use in different ways. Most have a combination of talents. People with genuine abilities are the most stable people I know. People who make a big show of things usually have no or little talent. They know the reality of psychic messages and their role, and do not carry on like a drama teacher after a pot of coffee.

This release of fear works in all aspects of life. I always think of how ironic it is that people who have the most fear of what is going on in this world are people who tout faith in God and Jesus. Really? So you have faith in those beings, yet you feel the whole world is going wrong? You fear life, public figures, political figures, weather, big companies, other countries? Well then you have no faith at all! The Universe has it all firmly in hand. It has people and events firmly in place happening when and just as they need to. You are not smarter than the Universe. Fear is not a part of faith, it is the lack of faith, and it leads to hate.

There are so many dramatic haters out there who think they are saving all of us by spewing nonsense. They are damning us, or at lest themselves.

Lose fear in ALL that you do and watch the Universe open up to you. Watch the abundance flow, and things go to a more positive and happy place. A more healthy place. It happens like magic because in a way it is. Live in that happy, fearless place, you will love it, I promise, and so will the rest of us who have to swim in your muck!

Sacred space, don't get carried away!

This morning I had an email in my box from a woman who lives in a busy household, full of kids, pets , and all the things we pick up off the floor everyday. She wants to set up an altar, but feels there is no place in the house that won't get (in her words) "slimmed".

It isn't about the slime, it is about the energy of the space, period. Try to keep it as clean as possible, but don't get rid of your pets (who are full of awesome energy and SHOULD be near sacred space), or your kids. Be realistic.

She was worried about the animals and accidents, the kids and food. The bedroom seemed like a good place, but then she stressed about the language on HBO.

No worries.

Sacred space is a place that is held by positive energy. It can be as small as a nightstand, or as large as a room, it does NOT have to be hermetically sealed, nor should it be. Sacred space is about LIFE.

It is the energy of the place that matters, and keeping good energy locked in. People get all kinds of carried away , locking people out of their rooms where their sacred space is, that is NOT what sacred space is about...think of a church where the doors are always open to all.

Never worry about animals, or the messes they leave behind. Think of what a glorious place for a sacred space a glen in the woods would be. How much deer, opossum, raccoon , bird, and snake waste is out there? How many owl pellets? We all know what bears do in the woods. People who think scared space is to be devoid of everyday life detritus are people who have read too many books without understanding a word of them, and have not lived life. Kids sneeze, cats puke up hairballs, dogs pee, it happens. We clean it up and move on.

Your house is a place where you live. "Live" being the operative word. It doesn't matter if you and hubby sit in front of the football game drinking a few beers and hubby shouts and expletive when the ball is fumbled. It DOES matter that the space is in a place where nothing will be broken or removed, and that when you need it to be quiet and peaceful it will be.

It does matter if you and hubby do nothing but fight in the bedroom. It does matter if he shouts expletives in anger at you, or puts you down. It does matter if he throws his beer at the altar...again the ENERGY and INTENT is what is important. If he says "Damn you look sexy today", the altar will not burst into flames.

So what IS important. It is important to cleanse it and bless it before you ever use it. It is important to make sure that the space never experiences things that allow harmful energy in. That means no anger, no fear, no drunkenness or drug use, especially to the point where the person is incoherent or unconscious (this is like putting out candy for negative spirits and harmful entities). There can be no abuse, no violence, no hatred, no negative energy near sacred space. There can be no mental nor emotional illness that doesn't allow the person to honor and respect life or to understand the space.

If any of the things mentioned above happen, the space needs to be cleaned and cleansed, then blessed and rededicated.

I had someone mention the other day that people were drinking in my classroom, which is sacred space.
So what? If you can't drink in or near sacred space we better call the Pope and burn down every church that serves communion wine. Many Pagan and Traditional religious ceremonies and rituals include wine and sacred space, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Now, drunkenness is a whole other story. There are too many "holier than thou" people in this world who are the most UHholy of us all. People are idiots, they have no training and no capacity to think beyond their noses. Do not be afraid to set up a sacred space in your home thinking it isn't worthy, or people couldn't have a beer and watch Rambo in the house anymore. They can't carry on where it will effect you doing any rituals, healing, etc., but your home does not become off limits to life. It can be all so pure if you want it to, but you don't NEED it to.

So dear reader, you most certainly may put that space in the corner of the bedroom where Rambo sometimes shouts expletives from the TV, or the cat hacks up hairballs, the Universe isn't concerned with that, it is concerned with your state of mind, your intent, your focus, and what energy you put out. If it makes you feel better, cover your altar when not in use, but those of you who want a whole room, go for it. Just make sure that if a person with issues, or who is out of their mind in some way (substance overuse or mental illness), enters the room, you cleanse it and bless it.

They don't take the cross of the church wall when the sinner enters, so don't get crazy.

Sacred space is about the ENERGY of the space and the cleanliness of spirit in that place. It is not about anything else. It is a safe place with only positive energy and spirits. I had to cleanse my sacred space the other day due to a person being so very intoxicated that they were at the point where negative spirits can come in. They pretty much threw the door open wide like a Ouiji Board and said "come and get me". That night there were loud noises in the house, and the next night too...I cleansed, and all the issues and noises are gone. THAT is what you DON'T want in sacred space!

Spirituality requires common sense. Don't be afraid to try things that you think will be helpful! Fine tune as you learn.

Metaphysical look at suicide

Suicide was a topic that came up a few times...yes the magic THREE, yesterday. I was going to write about it , but then thought I would just reprint an article, as this one pretty much says it all from a metaphysical viewpoint.

Suicide is, in most cultures a big negative, resulting in anywhere from shunning of the family to not allowing the person to be buried in sacred ground. That however is all dogma. Dogma can drive anyone crazy and is just the written way of a particular group, culture, religion. The Universe is not ruled by dogma, it basically means nothing in the end. Universal Law trumps dogma any day. So what does Universal Law say about suicides?

Before we get into that , a reader questioned at one time if all the following blog were true as someone they read about had a suicide for a guide. Suicides will NEVER be guides. How can someone who couldn't cope with life, coach you through your worst times? The answer is not that "they had been there", because yes they have, but they didn't find the answers, and guides are there to show you how to find the answers. The success, not the giving up.

Suicide is not an answer at all in any way. It certainly isn't an answer for those left behind, those who usually end up in therapy. There is nothing OK about suicide, and maybe reading the metaphysical part of things , the Universal Law part,  (not the dogma you already know), will help.

So here is a blog for January of 2013:

I received an email a couple of days ago from a friend that was curious about what happens to suicides when they die. I had tried to share some real information with someone the other day, and they didn't want to hear it, simply because it would shake up their investigation methods and results. Where I come from, shake them up! We need to make sure we are all doing a good job when we investigate. We want to learn, we want valid information. We don't pass on information unless we know it is valid.

My information comes from first hand experience, questioning guides, information from teachers both local and worldwide, from mediums who work ONLY at mediumship (in other words they aren't the check out girl at the local supermarket during the day) , and one very rare instance. That instance is a person who killed themselves (or tried), and was brought back. It can't get much better than that. The other information is from not just asking these sources about suicide, but the other side in general.

The part that lets you know the information is valid, is that all these sources (that are talented, respected, and educated), all say the same thing. There have been little personal experience differences, but the main theme stays the same.

I won't go into great detail, it would be a  "days long" blog, but here are the basics.

Suicides do not go to Hell. There is no physical or even energetic place called Hell. Hell is a state of mind and being, not a place or a punishment. There are several levels of what we call "heaven", which again is not a physical place. You can be in lower levels of "Heaven", but there is no "hell".

Suicides DO however have specific things happen that are "hellish". The Universe always offers options, you may not like all the options, but the choice is still there. The choice is not to cross all the way over (we all have that choice), but to stay in that in between place, or cross and re-do the life you just left.  Now if you or I died of natural causes, we could go haunt our friends, or stay in the house where we grew up. Suicides however, stay right where they are. They are not given the privileges and license to roam around just like everyone else. It is part of the deal for having left class (the school of life), before they were finished.

The second choice is come back here and do it all over again. No "cocoon" time in what we have called Heaven, although it is an energetic place it is not a physical space up in the clouds. Cocoon time is a healing time/acclimating time we can all choose to have when crossing all the way over (again I am not going to go deeply into all this right now). So , again, no perks, no rest, no playing golf with Albert Einstein, just "get back to school". The life is just as hard, and the lessons are exactly the same.

Many suicides are fearful of Hell,  and I have crossed a few over after reassuring them that there is no "burning in Hell" awaiting them, but there is work to do. Some choose to still remain, but  in the same place.

They don't get to have the same options and freedom of movement open to all who die from outside causes. Why would they?  I mean you don't have to be able to converse with the other side to figure out that there is going to be a price to pay. It isn't literally what we read in the Bible, but figuratively. Each belief system has a similar way of saying that suicides have different and lesser options. Even in the "ghost world". Not crossing all the way over, doesn't get you out of the limits and payment due, for choosing to end your life.

There was a second part to this email and I will touch on it also. The question has been addressed in this blog before. How do you know you are getting valid spirit information? Unless you are a good and experienced psychic, or medium, you can't figure out if a spirit is presenting itself as someone else or not. There are also entities that can present themselves as human spirits which are not. There are also psychics and mediums out there that don't have a clue, who were never trained, apprenticed or honed their craft. It doesn't make them "bad people", but it makes them a little less reliable. Do you want a specialized neurosurgeon of 30 years operating on your brain, or the kid just out of med school? Experienced mediums and psychics know when something is playing games.

There is much to say for personal experience in this field. You see things and learn. There isn't a great handbook, although there are some great books out there, you have to read many, it isn't all in one.

This is one reason why we NEVER use flashlights to communicate with spirits. First of all , flashlights that twist will arc, repeatedly, that is NATURAL PHYSICS. It WILL happen. Period. So there you are asking questions and getting all kinds of flashes that mean absolutely nothing. There are too many valid ways to communicate, so why use a flashlight? The other reason is what I was writing about a couple of sentences ago. When a flashlight is flashing how do you know it is valid information? How do you know who you are talking to, REALLY know? You don't.

I know when I die, I am going to go tell ghost hunters I am whatever ghost they are looking for when they use a flashlight, how will they know who I am??? I will pass on all kinds of inaccurate information, I'll teach them not to use a flashlight.

Getting back on topic, suicides are not allowed the luxuries we all are allowed when we die. They can cross all the way over , get a sort of counseling, apologize to the living even. But they have to do it over again the same way, with the same lessons and life. They are not punished in "Heaven", but they don't get to go hang out with live friends at the local bar either. They don't get "feel good things", those are not available to them.

I asked a few experts if there could be exceptions to the rule, could one figure out a way to sneak out of this? They all say they have never heard of such a thing, and their guides tell them "no" (mine say the same thing), if one spirit has figured out a way, I suppose it is possible in a one in a billion situation, but the Universe would quickly know and put an end to that. So they would visit the local bar for about 1 second, and that would be the end to that.

I asked two of my former teachers (and one asked 3 of hers), if a suicide could be at their home if they killed themselves outside the home, the answer was, "unless it was in their garage or immediate vicinity as in on their property, no way".

There is much to learn about the "other side" and some great information out there.

The person who tried to kill themselves and was revived? They had many people, beings, and voices around them shouting that they did not want to die this way , to go back, that it was not the best way, they are not supposed to go now, they aren't finished. They said it was almost impossible to understand all the shouting, but they got the message, especially their grandmothers shouting "NO NO NOT THIS WAY"! They were revived, and that was 18 years ago. Apparently they still had a lot of work to do including being a parent.

When someone tells you "we don't know what happens on the other side", THEY don't know what happens on the other side. Many have been there in energy or in spirit and share with us on return. This is nothing new. There are even books on it dating back decades. We do know, and it is complex, fair,  and beautiful. It is also information that IS open and available to us now. One teacher said to remember that no where in the Bible does it say we have to, or automatically go to heaven when we die. That is what is preached, not what is written. That may explain all the ghosts around! I know from experience you don't HAVE to go to heaven, and I know that the souls who are here are NOT "poor lost souls", many feel sorry for them. There is no need to, it is their choice.

I will say this , if you in any way are thinking of suicide, don't do it. Even though you won't "burn in hell" the options aren't good. When life is bad this time around, doing it again , just the same, won't be easier! Staying in spirit at your death place is not going to be fun either. Seek help, and LIVE!

Learn from mistakes, don't kill the messenger.

I didn't think I would have to say this, but apparently I do. We talk about drum protocol in the manner of traditions. This group may circle the drum clockwise, that tradition may allow women, this group allows rattles...but we usually don't talk about the things that are really important. They are things we think do not need to be said.

We always explain to people that the drum is like a small child or your grandmother, not to do things around it that you wouldn't do in front of them. Drummers, and other energy workers, are expected to be humans, not Bliss Ninnies, so we expect you to have a bad day, get upset, swear, or any other human action. Yet, when it comes to the drum there are some rules that are pretty easy to figure out.

We had some of those rules broken the other day. This resulted in people being removed from the drum. The first broken rule was a major one, it was the singing of NA songs while intoxicated. The person thinks they were removed from the drum for being intoxicated, not so, there would be a lot less drummers on this planet if any intoxicated person were never allowed to drum again.

Singing NA songs, especially certain traditional , family or prayer songs, while intoxicated is akin to blasphemy. Put in simple terms it is BAD, VERY bad. DON'T ever do it. Some call it "bad medicine", it brings more bad into you, it is REALLY REALLY BAD...hopefully that is simple enough. We had to tell a person four times to stop and they were so intoxicated they kept doing it. That is immediate removal, with ANY drum.

The other is that the drum keeper and any elders/teachers are always treated with respect. You do what you are instructed, even if you think you know better, or don't want to. When things are to a point where you are that uncomfortable, you do not slander the teacher / elder, you walk away. You don't have to agree, but you do have to respect, and in the NA way, totally. You can argue, but if someone is your teacher, your elder, you have to do as told until and if you decide to walk away. When that person is a woman in many traditions, you don't even question her.

Last night I was talking to a reader who was having an issue with a friend. The friend thought that is was OK to always run to other friends and badmouth her when she didn't get her way. Apparently some people think that you will then be repentant or embarrassed enough to do something different and allow the bully, because that is what they are, to have their way. They don't see their actions for what they are.The reader friend ended that so called friendship last night.

I had a similar circumstance last night....must be the full moon on Saturday. The funny part is that the people who suffered the consequences of being removed think it is because one of them got drunk. I guess you could equate the getting drunk with the inability to stop singing the songs while intoxicated, but the fact of being drunk in and of itself was not the cause of either one of them being removed.

People want an excuse, they want one that they can say "everyone does", they think it helps them not to look bad, but as my reader friend and I were saying last night...it makes them look worse. Then something else happened to them, and it was immediately deemed my fault, even though I didn't do it....but that is the way things go, look for the easy out, look to slander the person who hurt your feelings, look to put the blame on another person , not yourself. As I have written in the blog many times, people live their lives stating to themselves, "it HAS to be someone's fault other than me".  They are the people who never get anywhere.

When we make mistakes in life we don't get to choose what happens as a result of those mistakes. We just have to live with them and say "I will never do that again". We don't spread lies, we don't trash the person who delivered the sanctions, we say "oops", and move on.We most importantly never do the same mistake again, we learn.

I suppose it makes people feel better for a minute to trash someone else when they do wrong. However, it doesn't change a thing to make a situation better, it makes it worse. When you make a mistake own it, deal with the consequences, and move on, but mostly learn from it, never repeat it. This is what wise people do, and they becomes wiser from having made mistakes.

Mistakes aren't deadly, it is how you respond to them that can be.

The overly sensitive

Last night I looked over the day of issues people were having that contacted me for help. Most of those were relationship issues. When you talk to some people you instantly understand why they have trouble forming and keeping friendships and relationships. In just a few minutes you don't want to put up with them a second longer, and wonder how the last relationship partner actually made it for a month.

Yesterday was a day of people being defensive. When people are defensive for no reason, it makes me want to jump all over them, but then I just give them a reason to be defensive. Usually that is a result of insecurity and you won't make an insecure person feel better by telling them they are being rude. There were a few times yesterday when I commented to various people about things in life, or things that happened to another person and BAM the immediate response was defensive, abrupt and rude. I thought "who pissed in your cornflakes"?

So what to do?

People sometimes have a bad day and you just let it go, but when people have bad lives, you separate that person from your inner circle, and if need be, your life. Some people can be so rude as to be abusive, and those you cut out entirely. Never allow an abusive person into your life.

I never say something to someone just to tweek them, I did when I was younger, and I hate to say it, but I will make you curl up in a fetal position and cry if I want to, but I don't. I know better. I have better manners for one thing. The things I say to the TV, aren't things I say out loud to people, but a lot of those things would be great lines in a movie, but not in life.

When you literally have no filters, when you are constantly defensive, when you don't have any friends, then it is time for a huge change. There are so many people in this world who talk to people like they are trash, and then think because they then did something nice to make up for it the next day , it makes it OK. It does NOT. What makes it OK is working toward not ever doing it again in the first place. People aren't here to be "bought" into being a punching bag. I don't want to even hear "I can't help it" because unless you are psychotic, you CAN help it.

Joyce Landorf Heatherley wrote a book, and it became a mantra for people working on themselves and relationships. It is called "Balcony People" and it was written about a poem that has an unknown author. Not everyone in life deserves a front row seat in your life, some need to be up in the balcony where they won't effect you as much, and where they won't get to share in your limelight. When I first heard of it, I said to my friends," I know a few people that I am putting in my basement" (yeah sometimes I do say that stuff out loud). I am also really good at locking people out entirely. Some people just do not deserve to sit in our audience. When they are abusive, then lock them out of the theater! When they are constantly rude , in a bad mood, and defensive, then put them in the balcony. It isn't being a bad person, it is respecting yourself, and until you respect yourself, you cannot really respect others.

I even lock some clients out of my life, I fire them. Many of the people I talk to have serious issues, some don't care, don't really want help. When all they do is ask when their (fill in the blank) will "get theirs", I no longer talk to them. When all they do is rant and rave about how everyone in their life is a (fill in expletive here), I don't talk to them anymore. We cannot help people who like being angry and mad at the world. We cannot help people who love being miserable, even though they may say they do not. We cannot help people who do not want help.

When someone makes you cringe every time they call, or knock on your door, then put them in the balcony, if that doesn't work, lock them out of your theater. It is not "being a bad person".

Here is the poem that the book was based on, unfortunately no one can find who the author was:

"Everyone Can't be in your front row"

Life is a theater so invite your audiences carefully. Not everyone is holy enough and healthy enough to have a FRONT ROW seat in our lives.
There are some people in your life that need to be loved from a distance.

It's amazing what you can accomplish when you let go, or at least minimize your time with draining, negative, incompatible, not-going-anywhere relationships, friendships, fellowships and family!
Everyone Can't be in Your FRONT ROW.

Observe the relationships around you. Pay attention to: Which ones lift and which ones lean?
Which ones encourage and which ones discourage?
Which ones are on a path of growth uphill and which ones are just going downhill?

When you leave certain people, do you feel better or feel worse?
Which ones always have drama or don't really understand, know and appreciate you and the gift that lies within you?
Everyone Can't be in Your FRONT ROW.

The more you seek God and the things of God, the more you seek quality, the more you seek not just the hand of God but the face of God, the more you seek things honorable, the more you seek growth, peace of mind, love and truth around you, the easier it will become for you to decide who gets to sit in the FRONT ROW and who should be moved to the balcony of your life.
Everyone Can't be in Your FRONT ROW.

You cannot change the people around you...but you can change the people you are around!
Ask God for wisdom and discernment and choose wisely the people who sit in the FRONT ROW of your life.

Remember that FRONT ROW seats are for special and deserving people and those who sit in your FRONT ROW should be chosen carefully.
Everyone Can't be in Your FRONT ROW
Author: Unknown

Be careful who you allow in your front row, and even who you give a ticket to for your theater!

GH equipment....what to buy????

I was asked last night what would be the best investment for ghost hunting equipment. That depends? What do you want to spend? My dream piece is a FLiR Thermal Imaging Camera, but I don't have a spare $8000 laying around for the one I want. Maybe I can go for the $5000.00 and work my way up.....uh probably not.

I know the person asking the question does not have the last name Gates, nor do they have a contract with Sy-Fy or Travel Channel, so let's be reasonable.

When you just have a few dollars to spend and you want to ghost hunt, start with the best audio recorder you can afford. The best ones are in the $70 range and have MP3 capability. It is great if you have a software package, like Adobe Audition, to go along with that, so you can verify if voices are actually paranormal (above or below our hearing decibel levels). You will also need the best ear buds or headphones you can get your hands on, since they won't all be "class A" EVPs. You will get audio evidence just about every time you go to a haunted location, it is the easiest evidence to obtain. I have an Olympus VN-8100PC and have many awesome EVPs.

The second item, more pricey for sure, is a good camera. Any camera that needs to flash to take a picture in the dark or low light is useless in investigations.  There are now IR cameras and low light cameras out there in compact digital form. My newest toy is a low light compact camera. I LOVE it. It takes pictures in low light, just like IR video cameras do. The pictures are clear (18.5 megapixel), and the camera has anti-shake, Macro, low light, regular light, zoom, Wi-Fi and GPS. My husband (with his SLR), says he is jealous as it takes pictures that are just as good as his camera. I am not sure if that is true or not, but the functions (such as being able to lighten or darken a photo BEFORE you take it) are amazing. It is a Nikon Coolpix S9500 and cost just under $400, but if you can't afford the pricier SLR, it is the way to go!

When you can, buy an SLR and a tripod. This way you can leave that lens open and pick up as much as possible without blurring. A good camera and lens will run you about $1500.00 although there are cheaper options around $1000). Make sure it photographs in low or IR light. You NEVER want to use a flash in ghost hunting photography! Canon and Nikon make the best cameras for this use.

Needless to say I have an extra battery (which I forgot to bring the other night), and cables to download photos. The cables come with the cameras. You will need software here also, but it usually is included. The best camera bags are Lowepro. They sell every shape and size and even sell waterproof ones (which I need, long story).

Still have a couple of dollars in your pocket? Hopefully you already have a penlight flashlight. Large flashlights will ruin your nightvision, so make sure you stay small and use only when necessary, not for generally walking around. If you are afraid of the dark, you are in the wrong hobby.

The next little toy with big impact is a laser grid. These are inexpensive, and will help you see shadow movement. They are only for use in a controlled area, like a hallway or room where no one is in front of the grid. They only cost about $25, and some come with a stand.

You are probably wondering why I haven't said "meters" yet? Meters are the last place to spend your money. Seriously. It is OK to have them, but many people use them improperly. Make sure that you are trained for using your particular meter (they pick up different things and are effected by different things, so you need to know!). Be aware that when meter batteries are getting low and dying, they give high readings. Make sure that you are not fooling yourself into thinking a weak battery is a ghost, this is why most investigators replace the batteries for each use, whether they think the equipment needs it or not. You have to be very aware of power lines, transformers, radio towers, microwaves, conduit, cell phones, walkie talkies, and other electronic ghost hunting equipment when using a meter.

Their best use is for getting base readings, then when something starts to spike, taking a picture or doing an EVP session. They are to be used in conjunction with other tools, not for the meter to go off and to say "we have a ghost!". The earth's magnetic fields naturally measure on several of these devices, so make sure you know what you are doing. I find that people who have meters spend an entire investigation with their nose buried in the meter and miss things like Black Shadow People. Don't walk around with your nose buried in your meter!

That all being said, sometimes meters indicate spirits, sometimes they don't, and the best part...a spirit can be standing right behind you reading your meter and it won't go off! They are not the best tool in the tool box! They just let you know that it is possible that something may be going on, NOT that there is ghostly activity in the room.

Now I am going to make every meter manufacturer and some owners groan, since this isn't the greatest tool, and you want to pick up on electromagnetic anomalies, buy a compass. Yup, a compass, it will spin and point in any direction BUT north when there is electromagnetic activity! You won't have a number to shout out to your friends, but you will have more money in your pocket.

Another great tool is a video IR camera system. This will take some training and practice, but they are a great tool. Most systems come with 4 cameras. Make sure that the system comes with a DVR, not all of them do! These cameras can be set up to "see" and record in the dark. They cast a pretty bright glow on things, so you can see if anything moves or any light anomalies. They can be as inexpensive as $250, but then you need a laptopor monitor to go with it, and that gets expensive. It is also a lot to carry, so if you have trouble carting a bunch of equipment up and down stairs and away from your car, it might not be the best tool for you. Always make sure IR cameras are never facing each other, and that your range is covered (some cameras can only "light up" a short distance, others a longer distance, of course the latter cost more!).

Low budget? Get a hunter's IR camera that takes pictures when it senses movement. You just may catch something that isn't a deer! They retail for about $100, and work like a digital camera, you take out the chip and download the pictures.

It is then fun to have other things like the Thermal imager, the Ovilus, or rempod, but they really aren't necessary. The shows have them, and they sometimes help, and sometimes do not. It is all about what you can afford, and cart to the site!! When you are in a group and want to buy a high dollar item, see which item would best benefit the group, they may be short on a specific type of equipment.

The most important part of all this is KNOW how to use it. When you don't use it properly, you might was well not even have it at all!!  You will NOT learn how to use it by watching the ghost shows. Remember that these are edited down to the exciting moments. Most of an investigation is wandering around in the dark for hours without anything noticeably happening. Most evidence is found the next day at review. This is why it is important to do real time listening or have someone watching monitors of IR cameras. When you take a still photo, take THREE , and review them. When something is there, investigate further!

I laugh when I watch the ghost shows because they show evidence or have something happen, and then it is , "OK let's go review", or "stop for the night". I don't think they are actually that dumb, but the editing makes it look that way. When things happen is when investigators get excited in jump in, not go home for a nap. If you know everything about ghost hunting from a TV show, you know NEXT TO NOTHING! You know edited details that are only about 30% of the process , and none of the "well that didn't work".

Make sure that you learn how to use your equipment alongside a person who is knowledgeable and skilled. I have seen more people misuse meters than anything else. If you are walking around the entire investigation with a meter in your hand, you are doing it wrong.I guess being a living meter makes me not appreciate them, but let's say you get a hit. Can you show that to your friends? If you have someone following you around with a video camera maybe, but I know I can't afford my own personal camraman.... but if there is a person with you with a video camera, they should be pointing it elsewhere! It is more fun to play voices for friends off the recorder or computer and watch their jaws drop.

Video cameras are OK, but I recommend the IR still systems more than the video. Ghosts rarely walk up to you and wave "hi". Move evidence is collected when they forget they are being watched!

A ghost hunting friend said to me that she thinks people use meters so they know when the ghost is there so it won't sneak up on them , they are afraid, not looking for activity. That may be true, although the investigators I know are LOOKING, trust me. That is something you will have to figure out for yourself.

You don't need a lot of expensive equipment to go investigate. You do need one thing besides the equipment. A healthy dose of skepticism. I know this stuff exists, I have been dealing with it since I was 5 years old, however the stuff I see that people call "evidence" is terrible. They see a ghost in every investigation. They matrix a ghost in every window or reflective surface. They see "orbs" in every dust mote or drop of water vapor. Most places, the ghosts DON'T come out every night. Make sure you aren't wasting your time fooling yourself.

Find an authentic group to learn from and have fun!

Metaphysical terms, a Reprise

I read on an international site. I have noticed that as times got tougher more and more people signed on to give readings. People who have no business doing so and don't even know the basics. They are multiplying and their ads show just how much they do NOT belong on the site. I wrote a little blog on the site yesterday, and thought I would reprint this one as it has more information than the short blurb I wrote yesterday. Beware. Make sure you aren't paying someone who really has no talent, training, and ability!

Have a great day, and be careful what you pay for!

Many times callers will ask for certain talents, or misunderstand a word used. The sad part is many terms are thrown around by people who don't know what the terms mean, and mislead people. Today for an easy Friday blog before my bi-annual week of rest, I am going to go over some terms.

Here are some terms you have probably heard, but many do not understand:

Querant- A person who asks questions about their situations to an adviser.

Let's talk about the "clairs". The prefix "clair" means "clear" , it is derived from the French language and talks about senses for obtaining information about the future. The clairs also can help some see past and present events. They are words to ONLY be used as describing divination skills.

Clairvoyant- Means "clear seeing" of future events. Nothing else. It means in your minds eye you can clearly see things. It means your messages come to you in visual clues and aspects. This "seeing" is not external, but on a screen in the seer's mind. It is symbols, faces, places, designed to answer questions for a querant.

Clairaudient- Means "clear hearing" of messages for themselves or others. It can be a word, or a sound like wedding bells.

Clairsentient- means "clear feeling", feeling the emotions of others or that the Universe sends as messages to demonstrate how a querant or person they are asking about will feel emotionally.

Claircognizant- Means "clean knowing". When asked a question by a querant, a claircognizant immediately knows the answer as if you asked them their name.

Psychometric - A person who can obtain messages by picking up an object. The energies where the object has been will be read and messages passed on. This is used mostly for past events.

Psychic- A person who is able to get answers from beyond the normal ways and means. A person who uses sharpened intuitive skills to receive answers in order to help others from beyond our normal 5 senses. They can see into the past, present and future and have a "clair" listed above or combination of them. They can get information on the dead although they do not directly converse with the dead. They sense spirits, and energies.

Medium- People who are born with the ability to directly converse with the dead. They can see the dead in different "states" from what they looked like at death to sparks of light. Different mediums see and converse in different ways, but it is always direct and clear. They can ask questions of the dead and get clear responses, these questions do not include psychic information of the future, but about the deceased and their lives and current situations.

Trance Mediums are not conscious of their messages and need to be told them later. Physical mediums allow a spirit to overtake some or all of their physical body to send messages. Mediums do not have to use either of these methods, but can just simply converse.

Psychics and mediums can also sense and communicate with the other beings out there from angels, guides, gatekeepers, to entities on the negative side of things.

Do not confuse this with seeing ghosts. When you think you have seen an apparition, it does NOT mean you are a medium or even psychic. You just caught the right energy at the right time. Anyone with an open mind and lack of fear can see a ghost.

Intuitive- A person who picks up on the energy in an area, which may come with some information, from a feeling to a name. They cannot however ask for information and receive it. They are like a radio, they get what is sent only. Everyone is intuitive, but true initiatives have this skill highly sharpened. They cannot control it, it just comes to them, but the information is still totally valid.

Scrying- Looking into any reflective surface for messages. A method used by psychics. An example is a crystal ball, however some also use water, ice and mirrors.

Tarot- A divination method used by psychics and non psychics. There are 78 cards divided into the major and minor arcana that used archetypes to send messages quickly and clearly.

Prophecy- The gift that allows people to see world events before they occur. They relay messages from higher sources.

Spiritual- A way of living brought about by a belief that there is a Higher Power in this Universe. It is living life knowing that we are here for lessons, and we try to learn them as best we can for hope of moving forward to a state of closeness to that Highest Power in another dimension (sometimes referred to as Heaven).

Remote viewer- A person who can send their mind and sense to another place across the miles to see and hear what is currently going on somewhere else. It is sending one's conscious to another physical place. This may or may not involve psychic activity and people can be trained to do this.

This is just the basics and scratching the surface. There is much more to it, and many more terms, but these are the most commonly tossed around. The sad part is today many WANT to be psychic. It has become popular where it used to be something that you were ridiculed for, even burned to death for. Many take intuition , which we all have, and try to present it as being psychic. Psychics can reach out and find answers, intuitives have information sent to them, if they try to seek information they cannot obtain it.

The hot ticket these days is mediumship. The only real mediums I have met are very pious , pure and genuine people. They have a very bright light around them, it is easy for a psychic (or medium) to spot a fake. Psychics also have a brighter light around them. There is so much to all of this, it is a whole class for another day. My psychic development classes actually have three full days of class schedules.

Don't be fooled by people who don't know the answers to how all this works, only those who are in clear and direct communication with their guides and the other side will have all the answers as to how the metaphysical world works. Metaphysicians will also have many answers but will not be able to describe the experience.

Many today not only fake things, or act things out because they really believe they have a skill, but there are also schizophrenics and other mental and emotional disorders that mimic psychic or mediumship skills. Beware the fakes and mentally ill.

Bump in the night

I sometimes hear things that go bump in the night. That is a vast improvement over years of crash, slide, bang, bump, thump every night. It doesn't really even get me to a surprise point anymore, forget the fear point, that was worn away long ago. The only time I get a little nervous is if I think it is a person, who is alive, trying to get in (or already be in). The dead ones don't scare me anymore.

We were talking the other night (in a dark cemetery of all places), about what would scare us. I know I can be startled by a loud crash, who wouldn't, but scared is a whole other thing. I think the only thing that would scare me is a brick flying at my head....if they can throw bricks, I am not hanging around to get hit. I'll watch from over there.....

Matt said it would be something big moving. That would get to him, but then after being growled at in a dark attic, he didn't think anything would make him actually scared (I have to agree with that). Others said that just a noise of something like a bed moving when we knew no one was on that floor (this happened at Villisca), would do it.

There are phenomenon that are decidedly NOT scary, like the lights we saw in the woods the other night. No one has figured them out yet. They flash like giant lighting bugs, but they aren't bugs. The one I saw was the size of a softball, if that is a bug, now I am scared.

There are things that do scare people and the funny part is, that when it happens, it isn't always scary right away. Many people see apparitions and aren't shaken up until later when they realize what they have seen. The thing that gets to people seems to be big noises. Not voices, things making noises like rustling, but big crashes and bangs, the same things that would make you jump on any given day.

The number one worry for me is live humans, number two is danger in he dark as in bumping into and falling off of things (stairs, etc). It was so dark the other night, I wasn't to a turn yet, if I didn't turn on my flashlight for a second, I would have met up with a tree. That is my scare point. Lights, noises, voices, black shadows, are all things I am happy to experience.

That said, if you want to help people and be an effective paranormal investigator, you need to be unafraid. You have to run toward the phenomenon, not away from it. It is OK to be scared a few times, or to leave a location if you are doing it just for fun, but when you are out helping families, you can't be afraid. Wary, ready for anything, yes, afraid, no. Certain places have certain phenomenon that you won't have to have a worry in the world about, others , you have to be very knowledgeable, serious, and prepared because bad things can happen. Being trained properly is the key (and being trained properly doesn't not mean you never missed an episode of a ghost show on TV).

So, if things go bump in the night, give a listen, make sure it is not a live human, and then tell them to be quiet while you sleep, you would be surprised how many problems that solves!

How often do you get stuff?

A reader wrote to me on the paranormal and asked...How often do you get stuff? It depends on what "stuff" you are talking about. There are ALWAYS spirits around us. You have a guide who is always with you, and there are people who have relatives check in from time to time, so there is always someone around. Guides and other positive beings assigned to us try to motivate, persuade, and guide. They don't tell us what to do and are subtle. Some people never notice them. Can you capture messages from them? No, they communicate in a different way.

That being said, spirits are free to roam. They have free will as we do and the only ones who are restricted are suicides. You may have a spirit in your home that never lived there, doesn't know you, and really doesn't care that you are there. This was a huge realization back in the 70's when Hans Holzer discovered that a spirit haunted a home because the lady who lived there reminded her of her sister. Prior to that people believed that for a spirit to be in a home, they had to die there. Today we know better.

Spirits attach to antiques, places, people, things they love, places they visited. There aren't restrictions. That all being said, spirits are everywhere, how often do we catch them peeking through in to our living dimension? A lot.

I have a huge success with EVPs, part of that is that being psychic (or if someone is a medium), they have a brighter light emanating from them that the spirits can more easily see. I get EVPs on most trips out. Remember, they don't have to talk to you, so they can be there and you won't know it. That is why it is important to remember that not getting an EVP does not mean the place doesn't have spirit activity, and getting an EVP doesn't make it haunted.

Pictures are harder to come by. Most spirits only manifest for a moment, capturing that moment is VERY difficult, not only with timing, but with having the right technology. Regular flash cameras rarely do the trick. You "wash out" the spirit or BSP with the flash. There are IR, low light cameras, and digital SLRs that allow the photographer to keep the lens open. These allow the camera to better capture the image. Images however are rare and usually fuzzy. You are taking pictures that are literally inter-dimensional. Clear images are fakes, and it is getting easier to spot them and prove them to be what they are. The other issue is that today's cameras capture awesome pictures we haven't seen before, and people jump right to thinking they are paranormal. Raindrops bouncing off the earth with a flash camera look like little fireballs rising up from the earth. They are just raindrops. For the longest time people thought rods were paranormal. they aren't they are what the camera lens does to certain bugs. We learn and we drop the old beliefs and move forward, learning even more with the wonderful new technology.

These are the two real types of proof you can have and that is it. K2's and other meters offer no real "proof". They can be many things other than a ghost, that is the problem. Even the meters when the batteries are dying cause high numbers to result. A meter is a good way to detect CHANGE, not a spirit. That change MAY be a spirit....or a cell phone getting a message, power line, conduit, police (or other) tower nearby, etc etc etc. Know what your meters limits are, what is around you, and turn off your cell phone & walkie talkies until you need them. Flashlights are for seeing in the dark, nothing else. They aren't proof of anything except an electrical arc, a natural occurrence, and if it isn't happening, your flashlight is dead.

So the answer to the question is, "most, if not all, of the time", however, it is usually an EVP or disembodied voice. Even those take careful investigation. Many times people in your group are in the next room discussion something in low voices. You can't hear it, but that awesome recorder can, and you think you have an EVP. So many investigators say they heard their name, they sure did, by their friends talking in the next room. I have heard my name, in a paranormal way, twice. Once in my room as a 10 year old child as it was repeated in a sing song voice, and once at Villisca. EVPs need (as any ghost hunting equipment) an environment that is controlled. Make sure that there is no other group anywhere nearby. Make sure no one in the room whispers, makes funny sounds,or kids around in funny voices. When something happens like you bump in to a chiar in the dark, mark it, say " Joe, chair".

You have to make sure you are only using tools that cannot have something else effect them to call it evidence. Voice recorders where there isn't noise contamination, laser grids in closed off controlled space; pictures in the right environment (as in NOT when it is raining or misty); meters when there is no interference around to activate them.

Please do not use your home as a ghost hunting ground, no matter how haunted it is. When you say "hey I want to hear you", you will escalate the activity to a point where you won't get a moment's peace. It can get nasty when you try to ignore it by sleeping, eating, or getting work done. They also call in their friends, and that can get WAY out of hand. When there is something going on and you want it investigated, call in a reputable group. Ask what investigations they have done and for references before allowing them into your home. Many have watch a few seasons of Ghost Hunters and think they are "professionals". There is nothing professional about them.

Ghost hunting is interesting, but as the old joke says...please do not try this at home!

Bullies

We think of bullies as people who are younger , school age perhaps. Bullies however can be 40, 50, or 80 years old. Bullies are people who give you the "my way or the highway" attitude, no matter what their age. Most people grow up or have experiences that teach them that bullying is not the way to be, but unfortunately more and more are not learning the lesson.

They are the ones who give ultimatums that are unreasonable, unfair and manipulative. They are the ones who threaten your livelihood, your happiness, your health. They are the ones who use guilt trips, abuse, and mind games, to make you do things you would not normally do.

We usually picture bullies as the people who physically threaten. They do, but today there is a worse kind of bully, the passive aggressive. They have even less courage than the bullies o the 50's and 60's who took your lunch and threatened to give you a black eye.... because they try to present themselves as peaceful. They are doing it "for your own good", they are "doing things the way the are supposed to be done", they will pull out family history, tradition, or religion and twist it, as a means to cover their arguments and to get you to do what they want.

When there is a price tag of any sort, on doing something, don't do it. Stand up to bullies, expose them, and do not allow them to bully others. They are usually those with more bark than bite. Some are outright crazy, yes, and they have to be handled in a specific way, but do not allow that to slow you down. Whenever you allow a bully to succeed, they become stronger, they also may now prey harder on people around you. They take any sign of backing down or weakness as a green lag to step up the bullying.

Never allow someone to tell you that you better do something "or else", you do not need those people in your life. Don't run away, that just creates a stronger bully for someone else to have to deal with, but deal with them as best you can. I told a client once that she always ran away when things didn't go well, how far was she going to run. She had an epiphany that day and after 14 jobs in 2 years, finally settled down to one and moved up in the company.

You cannot run away from bullies, they are everywhere, but you can effectively deal with them, and you should.  It is past time to stop bullying on every level, starting in your home, your job and your life. Take a stand against bullying now and continue to stay strong, It is a serious problem in our society today. They are 50 some year old women, and 10 year old boys, they are any age, gender, and culture. It is important to stay strong and take a stand against bullying as it has become a serious problem in this country.

NEVER allow a bully to have their way.

I find it amazing....

I find it amazing where our country has gone. I suppose it is the technology, but we want everything 5 minutes ago. We want every problem solved now, and usually by someone else doing something. We want to sit back and magically have it happen. People try to solve the world's problems by Facebook postings and Tweets. Not only will that not even put a dent in things, but I have come to understand that people don't even begin to understand the problems.

People are more gullible, more ready to react, and more angry than ever before. They were set up. Set up to believe that they are always right and that if they stomp their feet hard enough and hold their breath, it will turn out their way. They still aren't smart enough to figure out....that ain't working.

The way to knowledge isn't a 20 second sound bite, a headline, a Facebook placard, a Tweet, a Google entry. It is research. research takes time. I remember being taught how to do a paper in college. You had to not only have items in your bibliography that supported your view, but ones that negated it. You then had to prove those that negated it, wrong, so as to support your thesis. Some students ended up trashing the paper and writing the opposing view point. They learned something.

Today, when people read something they agree with, it is totally correct. When they read something they don't agree with, it is wrong. Too bad that isn't reality. It is a good thing that they aren't in college, they would fail. At least the education system in this country is still up there fighting the good fight.

Spirituality suffers the same issues. There are people who don't think . Some ghost hunters see their "hero" on TV do something, so it must be good. They get so enmeshed in the process, they don't realize that their hero figured out ....that ain't working....and moved on to a new way , process, or tool. They see ghosts in every corner, every thought that pops into their head is a psychic message, and they have EVPs...of their friends talking.

There are people who form "churches" and institutions that hate. A perfect example is the Westboro Church. At the same time, people hate Muslims, not even having an inkling as to what the Muslim religion is about (and it ISN'T about killing people). Churches have become more of a social networking site than a place where people learn to and are reminded to do the right thing.

The hot thing today is to call yourself a Medium. Mediums are hot. Mediums are the "sexy" metaphysical. Mediums are actually very rare and easy to spot. I have met a few people who told me they were a medium, only two of them (out of about 30 people), actually were.  See , it is easy to pretend or fool yourself into being a medium. You can say a dead person is standing over there, a little girl and her name is Mary. Who can dispute that? Not many people. Being a psychic is harder to fake, but many try. My feedback is full of people saying that they are so glad that they listened, even though they didn't want to hear it, a client the other day said "you should work for the CIA!" (no thanks). You have to constantly prove yourself. Timing is an issue with me, I have such a hard time with timing, but then there are times I nail it. Timing is so effected by free will , that I hate doing it. Yet, I always give it my best shot. Mediums however, don't have to prove a thing....unless, yes there is a way, you ask them to connect with a family member they never knew. Ask them for a message from a family member. Make sure it is a "real" message. When they say  "Grandma says she is fine", that isn't a message. When they say "Grandma is happy to see that you stopped dragging around that blue teddy bear", THAT is a message.

The message to all of this......

RESEARCH. That means finding PROVEN, QUALITY sources and looking for the opposing point of view. It means checking "information" on sites like Snopes BEFORE passing it on. It means READING the whole thing.

You still have to do the HARD WORK to succeed in this world. There is no free lunch as they say.

Don't believe everything you see on TV , and believe nothing you read in a Facebook placard.

Conspiracies rarely exist. Go back to the first line in this paragraph to see how to find out if it is real or not.

Treat people well, everything you do DOES tally up. You also can't fix being rude to everyone each day with a donation to the local food bank. The Universe doesn't take bribes.

When you go to church each Sunday.....act like it all the rest of the week.

Newsflash...EVERYONE is psychic, so your aren't special. Now if you have a bigger antenna than most, congrats. It isn't a blessing though, trust me.

You will have to work for all you achieve. The work can be easy or hard depending on your attitude and determination. Try the positive way, it is much more fun.

Respect others.

Don't abuse others, accept abuse, condone abuse.

Unless it is a Mc Donald's burger, you can't have it in one minute or less. Savor the journey.

No one said it was easy, and there is a good reason for that....it isn't easy.

When something doesn't work again and again, for goodness sakes TRY SOMETHING ELSE.

Your traditions, ways, and ideals are yours, no one but yours. Do not force them on others. Ever.

The world is not here to serve you, you are here to serve the world....

Now get moving, time is a wasting!

What energy are you attracting?

I had a couple of interesting discussions yesterday with clients. One wanted to know why there was always a string of noncommittal guys, and the other why there is always disaster in her life.

The first always plays games with the men, breaking up to "bring them closer and make them chase", which eventually they no longer do.....and the other is one who is always stirring the pot, sticking her head into situations that don't need gunpowder added, and shaking it in liberally. The first has made it to 43 without living with a man, being married or having children. The second has had a daughter in jail, two grandchildren passed (one a still birth, one died under 1 year of age), her husband is very ill, and there is even more, lots more.

When we bring in the "break up energy" we get break ups. When we bring in the "I love drama so much I create it" energy, we get drama.

People label others as "lucky" or blessed. They are neither, They are active, positive loving people who know bad things exist but give them just the amount of energy needed to flip it to positiveness, and not an ounce more. They know how to properly manifest, and accept that the Universe knows better. They don't immerse themselves in drama, negativity, hate, or the worst one, fear. They trust that the Universe has a reason for all that it does, and if we accept and learn from it, we will benefit from it.

My husband and I live in a positive and happy place. There never has been, nor ever will be a fight in this house. We never go without, we never feel badly except for life's normal sniffles,  oops and owwies. We accept them as part of life. We attain everything we strive for, and know that if we want something we just have to work towards it to obtain it. That doesn't mean we don't have bad moments, or want to strangle people, but we also stand up to them and refuse to allow them to ruin our day, or stop us from reaching our goals.Every day there is laughter in this house and love.

What energy do you attract? What do you put out there? How would your friends describe you? Are you always sad, upset, railing at the political world, people's lifestyles, or a race or religion? You will have a miserable life then, seriously. It is OK to be interested in those things, but to immerse yourself in ANYTHING is not good for the soul. We need balance in our lives, but it is how we handle the "bad" days that count most.

When you want better energy, put out better energy. Life will hand us all lemons at one point or other, but the ones who don't make lemonade will find themselves in very unhappy circumstances. You are what you believe you are!

Do the right things for the right reasons!
