Buyer beware even in Spiritual

I want to put this message out again , as I am sure you are all still doing your Christmas shopping. The metaphysical/spiritual world has become very popular in the last few years. There are new books, tapes, metaphysical shops all over the world. The problem is that many of these folks are selling what we call "snake oil".

Some just see it as a way to make money , and besides that, have no ill intent (which really doesn't matter what their intent is). Still others will tell you that you need all kinds of expensive wares to make your life better. Some will try to scare you, telling you that 2012 is the end of the world. There is even a man who manufactured a class with attunements copied form the ancient art of reiki, just to make money on the 2012 fear that was rippling through people.Those who were intelligent realized that he made many mistakes in his "ancient rites" even confusing Aztec and Mayan gods. Those who are desperate for answers swallowed it wholesale. The placebo effect made their lives feel better for a little while, but that wore off well before 2012.

There is nothing to fear about 2012. There is nothing you need to buy, nothing you need to study, no attunement that you need to have. When you are going to do some metaphysical shopping research first. Once you find out all the information that you need, go shopping. Make sure that the shop owner/reader/healer doesn't try to scare you into buying or doing anything else. Salesmanship is one thing, but telling people they have a curse on them and it can be removed for a few grand is another story all together. Do not ever act out of fear, as you will always make the wrong decision.

Make sure there is a return policy and that you get your money's worth. Make sure you are getting an authentic piece. A couple of years back I bought what was supposed to be an authentic stone, that left dye on my hands. It was dyed glass.

Just because someone advertises as being spiritual, metaphysical, or religious, doesn't mean that they are anything of the sort.Too many people think that just becasue of the nature of the business (spirituality), that the people running these businesses are spiritual....mostly they are business people, and some prey on troubled people. They know that people who are having difficulties and are vulnerable , or who believe everyone is inherently good, will be easy prey. Don't be , keep your wallet closed unless you know that you are getting the real deal.

Just because they are a "spiritual" or "metaphysical" store, reader, or healer, doesn't mean that they are doing good work. Use references from people that you know and trust as often as possible. When you cannot, just go and check it out, spend only a small amount and see what vibe you get, then find an authority to check out your find. The metaphysical world can suck your wallet dry in record time.

I have some excellent resources of people and goods available , and I am sure there are people in your area that have the same. I don't broadcast names of problem places and people (I let Karma take care of that), but I also don't refer them and I certainly give an honest answer when asked about them. I have worked too hard for too many years studying, researching, and practicing my craft to let scammers make us all look bad. We are already disbelieved by many, just becasue of the nature of our work, and when people enter into the picture who aren't authentic or who are, but just want to get rich on other people's problems, then I have a huge problem with that.

So, buyer beware, even when you are shopping in religious, spiritual, metaphysical shops. Research well (that means LOOK for the bad stuff, not just generally look on the subject), and consider the source. And please remember to never buy out of fear.
