There was a show on last night that prompted a few emails on the subject. I have said it before and I will say it again....NEVER use a Ouiji Board. It is like throwing open the gates to the masses. Imagine yourself stepping into Times Square in New York on New Year's Eve to get valid and honest advice on your life and saying that you were going to totally buy into the first (drunken, crazy, criminal, immature, or rarely an honest, sane, sober, helpful soul) person you meet. How do you think that will go? What are the odds?
Worse yet, you invite them into your home. What if they are harmful, crazy, evil, or even not of this earth? A Ouiji board is a wide gate into the ether. It doesn't delineate between souls of people and souls of the hundreds of other things that float in that ether. It is an easy access for those spirits that will not be heard by psychics and mediums as their skills and gatekeepers keep them from being heard and disrupting lives.
What happened to the folks on that show last night is mild compared to what has happened to many who used Ouiji boards. Let the people who know how to open those metaphysical doors, and know what ones to open and what ones to keep closed, do that for you. Is it really so important to know when you are going to be pregnant, or what is the name of the man you will marry, that you will risk having an evil entity exist in your home with you?
The story that was popularized as the movie and book "The Exorcist" is based on a true story. It was a little boy, not a girl , that the events happened to. The entryway of the demon? A Ouiji Board. It just isn't worth it.
There are so many ways to find information that you feel is important. There are reputatable psychics, readers, mediums, and astrologers out there. You can pendulum, muscle test, or seek the advice of others. The LAST place you should go is a Ouiji Board! I also tell you to make sure that you have a reputable reader, so why would you go from expert to a tool that is noted for its' dangerous qualitites.
Another person asked me last year about burning the board, and a few asked about last night. They said they thought that closed the gate and the entity couldn't get back. The entity cannot stay on this side constantly, it needs to go back. You need to hope that you have good timing, but even if you "trap" it on this side, there are many doors to force it through for the trip back. The light is always stronger than the darkness. You need a person who is skilled in sending entities back to make sure it is really gone. Burning the Ouiji board last night was absolutely the right thing to do. Never taking one out in the first place is a better idea.
There is absolutely no reason to ever mess with a Ouiji board. Period.
